Outdoor Opportunities for

Hiking
Although not shown on the map that is linked to this page below, according to the Florida Trail association there is a southern hiking loop trail that can be accessed from SR 520 2 miles east of the St. John's River. Hiking is allowed on all trails, with white blazed trails limited to hikers only.

Off Road Biking
Biking is permited on all park roads, service roads, and firelines, as well as horseback trails marked with orange diamonds. Please respect all horseback riders you encounter as these animals may be easily spooked and could seriously injure their riders.
The portions of the hiking trails that are marked with the rust/orange blazes may be used by bicycle riders as this is a portion of the National Scenic Trail System, therefore availiable for multiple use (hiking, biking, and horseback). The trails marked by white blazes are part of the Florida Trail and are closed to Bikes.

Primative Camping
There are two backpacking campsites. The Tiger Branch Campsite is three miles from the parking area/trailhead and campers must check in 1 1/2 hours before sunset while the Sabal Palm Campsite is is approximately 2.5 miles from the trailhead and campers must check in at least 1 hour before sunset. Both campgrounds must be reserved at least two weeks in advance.

Fishing

Equestsrian
There is a horseback campsite with a pitcher pump and a watering trough provided at the horse trailer parking area and all horse trailers must be parked here. To reach it, drive east on Beehead Road one mile to St. Nicholas Road. Turn North and you will find it 1/2 mile up on the leftdrive 1/2 mile to the Horse Camp parking area on the left after crossing the power lines. The Florida Department of Agriculture requires that you in your possession negative Coggins test results upon entering the park.

Hunting in season

Access can be found west of Titusville on SR 50 over the St John's River and into the town of Christmas. Look for Look for Taylor Creek Road on the south side of SR 50. Then head south for about 3 miles and you'll see the entrance on the left on Beehead Road. There is a two dollar per vehicle day use fee.
